Changing the Pace of Your Life is Possible!

Mom, pet parent, sister, friend, coach, volunteer, multiple business projects….It seems I am always juggling many roles in my life.  I must admit that some of the time I am successful at keeping all the balls up in the air and sometimes not so much.

When a friend invited me to a virtual seminar, at which she was presenter, about a “Slow Year”, my interest was piqued.  I could suddenly take a deep breath!  I was thrilled that there is such a thing, and maybe I could master the concept too!   I immediately decided creating a “Slow Year” would become my theme (resolution) for 2023, particularly when those who have done it promote the benefits of more sleep, better relationships, and lot higher productivity!

At the heart of the Slow Year are self-care and being present. Candis Hickman, a marketing and branding specialist and health coach, has carefully curated a stable of like-minded professionals who want to continue functioning at a high level but to do so in a way that isn’t a daily grind.  Besides meditation, music, yoga, etc., there was a module on healthy foods led by speaker, community builder, cookbook author, and holistic foodie, Ky Keenan.
